With practical solutions that are safe, innovative and sustainable, we think globally while acting locally.Looking to take the next step in your career? is currently seeking a highly motivated Prime Contract Manager to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Lima.Responsible for managing, coordinating and administering Hatch contract commercial activities within large Clients’ projects with the aim to safeguard Clients’ assets through proper Prime Contract Management.Minimize project risks through active analysis and application of commercial and contract management best practices. Administrate commercial agreements including sub-contracts for Hatch and Joint Venture partners.As the successful candidate, you will:Contract Execution (Post-Award) Stage:Participate in the transition phase from the formation to the project execution phase o Establish proper commercial governance and Prime Contract management structure for each large project depending on the complexity of each project and structure of Prime Contract including other relevant agreements such as joint venture and consortium agreementsPro-actively manage all aspects of the Prime Contract including analysis of cost, schedule and commercial risks and implement measures to mitigate and manage adverse impacts on the project and business caseImplement the agreed contract payment terms and conditions into ‘Invoicing Guidelines’ o Ensure proper project set up and reflection of contract payment terms into existing Hatch systemsImplement Prime Contract pricing and inflationary adjustments during all project phases o Develop, with the Project Manager, the contractual relationships with sub-contractors o Review the commercial terms and conditions under sub-contracts such that they consider, where appropriate, Prime Contract liabilities, project insurance, cash flow and other payment related issuesImplement change management strategy working with the Project Manager and ControlsManager o Monitor and coordinate the Prime Contract amendments o Coordinate all Client commercial communications o Track letters of credit/letters of guarantee and insurance certificates issued by Hatch in favour of ClientsReview insurance policies provided by Clients for compliance with the Prime Contract insurance requirementsLead any claims and dispute resolution processContract Closeout Stage:Issuance of final invoices, adjustments, account closeout and collection of outstanding paymentsResolution of outstanding contractual disputes o Coordination of final certificates and releases of performance bonds, letters of guarantee, release of liens, etc.You bring to the role:University degree at Bachelor or Master’s level in Engineering or Business AdministrationAt least five to ten years’ experience in project management and contract management in similar industry. At least 3 years on international projectsPMP certificationAbility to function well in a team environmentSelf-driven and quick to deliverExcellent analytical skillsExperience in managing multi discipline tasksExperience in leadership, management and administrative processesStrong customer/client focusStrong negotiation skillsWell-developed written and oral communication.PreferredKnowledge of project management in industries such as mining and metals, Infrastructure, and energyExperience in large EPCM, EPC, EP, PMC, Design-BuildKnowledge in contracts law or financeFamiliar with FIDIC white and yellow contractsWhy join us?
