Catterton), Ghost is one of LA’s fastest-growing startups.As a Business Development Associate, you’ll play a critical role in driving growth; identifying leads, building our pipeline, and converting prospects into recurring customers. You’ll be the first point of contact for new buyers and sellers, introduce them to Ghost’s private marketplace and product suite, and support the onboarding and expansion of accounts. Your ability to connect, educate, and execute will directly shape Ghost’s future.Responsibilities- Generate and qualify leads through market research, targeted outreach, and strategic engagement.
- Attend client calls, meetings, and industry events to build relationships and close deals.
- Convert prospects into active customers and grow accounts into recurring partnerships.
- Manage smooth hand-offs to Account Managers to sustain and expand relationships.
- Collaborate with BDMs (Business Development Managers) and internal teams on go-to-market initiatives, ensuring clear communication across stakeholders.
- Track and report on lead generation, pipeline growth, and account activity.
- Analyze market trends and provide actionable feedback to improve BD strategies.
- Create presentations, decks, and case studies to secure new business.
- Assist with onboarding processes and respond to key client questions.
- Conduct research to win new accounts and expand existing ones.
- Prepare materials for investor and stakeholder presentations.
- Coordinate in-person meetings and presentations.Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field.
- 2+ years in outside sales or similar role (brand or retailer experience a plus).
- Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint (presentation building), MS Excel (financial modeling and analysis).
- Proficiency in presentation building using Canva, Figma and/or MS PowerPoint.
- Proficient with technology tools; quick to adopt new software.
- Strong communication skills and CRM proficiency.
- Proven ability to build rapport and articulate value propositions.
- Self-motivated, independent, and collaborative.
- Skilled at identifying high-potential prospects and converting them.
- Committed to operational excellence and balancing short- and long-term goals.
- Willing to travel up to 30% for in-person client engagement.BenefitsOur target base compensation for this position can range from $80,000.00 - $90,000.00. This position is eligible for an incentive bonus tied to team goals. The actual amounts may vary based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities related to the position.- Medical, Vision, and Dental with some plans covered at 100%
