The SAP BASIS team at Moventi is responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and optimizing SAP environments both on-premises and in the cloud.
The projects involve working with SAP HANA Cloud (HEC) and SAP S/4HANA landscapes, managing system migrations, and ensuring seamless infrastructure operations for enterprise clients across multiple sectors.
Role And Responsibilities
As a Senior SAP BASIS Consultant specializing in SAP S/4HANA and cloud technologies, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of SAP systems for our global clients. Key duties include:- Performing SAP Basis activities such as system installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching, especially focusing on SAP S/4HANA and SAP HEC environments.
- Managing infrastructure updates and applying release version upgrades to maintain system currency and compliance.
- Handling SAP landscape management including integration of infrastructure components such as load balancers, networks, and system interfaces.
- Executing end-to-end troubleshooting to analyze issues and design effective solutions to maintain system stability and performance.- Planning and executing complex migration projects—migrating SAP environments from on-premises to cloud, cloud-to-cloud, or cross-datacenter scenarios.
- Collaborating closely with internal and client teams to align SAP BASIS activities with business needs and IT service management practices.Required Skills And Experience
We are seeking a candidate with strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration, particularly in cloud and SAP S/4HANA environments. The ideal candidate should possess: (5-8 years of experience)- Extensive knowledge of IT Service Management frameworks and best practices as they apply to SAP operations.
- Proven hands-on expertise with SAP Basis technical activities including system installations, upgrades, patch management, and landscape monitoring.
- Experience working with SAP HEC (HANA Enterprise Cloud), SAP S/4HANA or comparable cloud SAP solutions.- In-depth understanding of infrastructure operations supporting SAP landscapes such as networks, interfaces, and load balancers (especially related to TLO – Tenant Landscape Operation).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills capable of diagnosing complex technical problems and developing comprehensive solutions.
- Experience managing SAP migrations from on-premise systems to the cloud, as well as cloud-to-cloud or cross-datacenter migrations.
- Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.Soft skills including adaptability, initiative, commitment to quality, and a proactive approach to learning new technologies and processes are highly valued.
Desirable Qualifications
Additional skills and experiences that would be advantageous include:- Cloud architecture and IT technical infrastructure know-how
- Knowledge of/certification in one of Azure, AWS or GCP fundamentals
- Experience with Migration, Upgrade projects esp. on S/4H Cloud
- Knowledge of Project Management Fundamentals, ITIL, Lean Fundamentals is a plus
