At Kyndryl, we want you to keep growing, and we’ll provide plenty of opportunities to make that happen.**Your Role and Responsibilities**The Batch Operations specialist is responsible for:- Monitoring and alerting of processes (jobs) in the mainframe environment in case of incidents (failure, degradation or non-execution of the same).
- Monitoring and escalation of alerts at the level of the Mainframe and managed LPARs.
- Attention to indications of support and execution of Jobs in a mainframe environment for the diagnosis and/or resolution of incidents.
- Follow-up of control milestones in the daily Batch routine in the administrative environments, guaranteeing their correct and timely execution.
- Follow-up and monitoring of the correct execution of the client's batch routines (production, certification, development)
- Preparation of end-of-routine reports and status of customer service channels.
- Review, validation and attention to requirements and incidents generated by the client in a mainframe environment (host).
- Other functions related to their role and according to the need of the service.**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Experience in Mainframe environments. (CICS, ISPF, VSAM, etc)
- Experience as a computer center operator and / or monitoring.
- Knowledge of Jobs programming schedulers (eg Control - M, CA-SCHEDULLER, CA-ESP, others.
- Knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language)
- Basic knowledge in Windows, AIX and Linux technologies.
- Basic knowledge in networks.
- Knowledge of ticket management tools. (Service Desk, Remedy, etc)
- Knowledge of event escalation flow (Alerts, Incidents).**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**
